The first cast announcement was just released on to the public media for the upcoming Beatles biopic, confirming with Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr) and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) set to play the Fab Four. The quartet will assume the roles for what Sony Pictures is currently calling The Beatles – A Four Film Cinematic Event, directed by Sam Mendes. Each film focuses on one of the members and boldly enough it is believed to release on April 2028 as Sony describes it as a “bingeable movie experience”

He announced the cast at the CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Even though the Beatles have been big-screen subjects before — including in Danny Boyle’s “Yesterday” (2019) and Sam Taylor-Johnson’s “Nowhere Boy” (2009) — this is the first time that the members of the band and their estates have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film, according to Sony Picture. These movies will be a chance to connect to peoples favorite 60s rock band. Most known by he song released in 1969.Each actor will deliver they’re role evenly as each movie will gran passage for separate development. Paul Mescal’s profile skyrocketed last summer when the 29-year-old starred in Ridley Scott’s historical epic “Gladiator II.” Harris Dickson playing John Lennon, Dickinson’s fame reached new levels with his performance in “Babygirl” in 2024. In the film, he played an intern who becomes entangled in an affair with his married boss, played by Nicole Kidman. Joseph Quinn, 31, played Eddie Munson in the fourth season of the television series “Stranger Things.” He also starred opposite Lupita Nyong’o last year in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” and appeared alongside Mescal in “Gladiator II.” Barry Keoghan was a scene stealer in his supporting roles in “Dunkirk,” “The Green Knight,” and “The Banshees of Inhering,” which earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor in 2022.

Honestly releasing all these movies on the same day is daring to say the least. But it would be interesting to observe and understand he ups and down of no just the band but of the fab four.
