Lil Nas X shows why a collaboration never happened with Taylor Swift

In an interview at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, 23-year-old rapper Lil Nas X, known for his hit song “Old Town Road”, spoke to an interviewer from E! News about his music. Lil Nas X mentioned, “We were working on something” when asked about potential collaborations. He also shared that Taylor Swift had offered him a verse, but he didn’t quite feel the vibe. Despite the collaboration not happening, he expressed nothing but love for Swift, saying he was honored to be given the opportunity.

Later, he revealed that he had the chance to add a verse to another song but ultimately decided to pass on it. Lil Nas X has been busy working on a series of singles, including “Light Again” and “Need Dat Boy”. He is also preparing to release his much-anticipated album, Dreamboy, though no official release date has been set. Additionally, he expressed his happiness for Taylor Swift's Grammy nominations.

In February, Taylor Swift was nominated for six categories at this year’s Grammys, including Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 17 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Unfortunately, she did not win any of the nominations.
